FESTIVA L   R 40 S is a  metal two-seats " low-wing " Light Sport Aircraft ( LSA ) , designed according to the ASTM American standards  No. F 2339-04  , the aircraft fulfilling the requirements for the  Light Sport Aircraft Category  . The aircraft is certified in USA by FAA , as LSA model .

FE STIVAL   R 40 S is equipped with one ROTAX 912 ULS piston engine ( 100 HP ) , the engine driving a three-blades ground – adjustable WOODCOMP propeller. All avionics, instruments and equipment are of USA origin.

 

FEST IVAL   R 40 S is designed and manufactured by AEROSTAR SA – ROMANIA , the worldwide producer of the famous YAK 52 , YAK 52 W and YAK 52 TW  aerobatics trainer serial aircraft . The aircraft  manufacturing is  in accordance with ISO 9000 and JAR 21 production standards.
