G-BVFW CAME TO AUSTRALIA FROM ENGLAND AND AFTER A MAKE OVER AT RED STAR AVIATION  BECAME VH-CJA OF THE 88TH WARBIRD ADVENTURE SQUADRON.

VH-CPX WAS LIKE A BIG GREEN CUCUMBER WHEN WE GOT HER, BUT ANOTHER MAKE OVER BY LINDSAY AT RED STAR AVIATION PRODUCED "MAIDEN CHINA" A 360 HP CJ-6A

CAN YOU MAKE A SILK PURSE OUT OF A SOWS EAR?     WELL, YES YOU CAN

OUR GREATEST CHALLENGE

A PICTURE MAY TELL A THOUSAND WORDS , BUT DOES IT TELL THE THOUSANDS OF MAN HOURS ONE PUTS INTO RESTORING AN AIRCRAFT.   VH-CJX WAS THE UGLY DUCKLINGS UGLY STEP SISTER WHEN IT'S PROUD NEW OWNER BROUGHT IT TO LINDSAY AT RED STAR AVIATION.  HE CRAWLED OVER,UNDER AND IN IT AND SAID YEP, I THINK I CAN FIX IT. SO AFTER SEVEN DAYS A WEEK ( AT TIMES 15 HOURS A DAY) FOR SEVEN MONTHS VH-CJX FINALLY EMERGED AFTER MAJOR COSMETIC SURGERY AND A HEART TRANSPLANT AS THE BEAUTIFUL " SHANGHAIED" A CJ-6A/360. THE PHOTOS TELL THE REST OF THE STORY

IT'S AMAZING JUST WHAT YOU CAN FIND IN AN OLD HANGAR IN CHINA, THIS PHOTO WAS TAKEN ABOUT 12 MONTHS AGO.

KAMOV KA-32 ONE OF THE FINEST ASW AND HEAVY LIFT HELICOPTERS THE WORLD HAS SEEN.
