The Russian Roolettes are a group of civilian pilots who regularly fly at airshows across the length and breadth of Australia. Their show is a combination of precision formation flying, aerobatics, dogfights and pyrotechnics.

Red Leader briefs the pilots before displaying at the Wide Bay Airshow in 2009. Safety is paramount when operating in such close proximity to other aircraft.

The Roolettes use a combination of Russian Yakolevs and Chinese Nanchangs for their exciting displays. Aviation enthusiasts love “the sound of round” that these engines develop.
